Prague’s international airport was evacuated early today after authorities received a telephoned bomb threat, a local news agency said.

Police are searching the airport, CTK News said.

While outbound traffic was suspended, inbound flights are landing as scheduled, said Dan Plovajko, a spokesman for Czech Airlines.

“The planes are landing, but remain at a safe distance from the terminal, with passengers and crews on board,” he said.

Most of the inbound planes belong to the Czech national carrier, but other airlines are also affected, he said. He said it was not immediately clear how many flights were affected by the threat.
