AC Milan have signed Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo on a season-long loan deal, the Italian champions have announced.
The Argentinian returns to Serie A after an unsuccessful 12 months in the Premiership, where he failed to recapture the form he displayed in Italy.
“AC Milan announce that we have reached an agreement with Chelsea for the loan of one year of Hernan Crespo,” read a statement on the club’s official website, www.acmilan.com.
“The striker has signed an agreement with the club until June 30, 2005.”
Crespo moved to Italy in 1996 and played for Parma, Lazio and Inter Milan before joining Chelsea in the summer of 2003.
