Europe are now 11-8 up after veteran Bernhard Langer beat Hal Sutton 4 and 3.
Langer became the second most successful player in Ryder Cup history as his comfortable victory over Sutton gave him three and a half points this week and 24 in total.
Playing his 10th Ryder Cup, Langer was always in charge after three birdies in four holes from the fifth, Sutton also conceding the 10th after finding the water.
The out-of-form American did pull one back at the next but also conceded the 13th and Langer rounded off the win by saving par from eight feet on the 15th after finding trouble off the tee.
