A man in his 30's is in a serious condition following a collision in Dublin.

A man in his 30's is in a serious condition following a collision in Dublin.

The incident - involving a cyclist and a car - happened at approximately 5:30pm at Fortunestown Junction on the N81/Tallaght Bypass.

The man was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he is in a serious condition. The N81/Tallaght Bypass is closed to traffic in both directions at the N82/Citywest Road.

A man has been arrested.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
