An 11-year-old boy charged with murdering a 44-year-old man is to appear at a British Crown Court next week, the Crown Prosecution Service said today.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is alleged to have murdered Jason Manotoya, in Thetford, Norfolk.

He was jointly charged with a 16-year-old, who also cannot be named, and 28-year-old Neil Howard, of Norwich, said a CPS spokeswoman.

Mr Manotoyah died at his home from a single stab wound to his abdomen on December 27.

The three defendants appeared before magistrates in Thetford yesterday and the case was adjourned to a hearing at Norwich Crown Court on January 11.

The juveniles were returned to local authority care following the court case, and Howard was remanded in custody.
