Mayo manager John Maughan has called rumours surrounding the retirement of midfielder David Brady premature.
The Ballina Stephenites All-Ireland club medal winner is considering his future and rumours abound that he has decided to retire from inter-county football.
However, Maughan believes there could be a chance Brady will again don the red and green of the Connacht champions.
He said: "I spoke to David last Thursday and Friday in my office and he said he is seriously considering his future of playing football at any level. We can't force anyone to play for us, but our door is still open."
