Road accident in Carlow leaves one man dead

A man in his twenties has died in a road accident in Co Carlow.

A man in his twenties has died in a road accident in Co Carlow.

The man was a pillion passenger on a moped which was in collision with a car at Milford on the main Carlow to Kilkenny Road.

The accident happened shortly after 3.30am.

The man was taken to Kilkenny General Hospital where he died a short time later.

Three others, including the driver of the moped and two people travelling in the car, were also taken to hospital.

Their injuries are not life threatening.
