Mourinho: Muntari form has made me forget Lampard
Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho admits new signing Sulley Muntari has been so impressive he has been able to “absolutely forget” previous target Frank Lampard.
Muntari joined Inter from Portsmouth this summer after the Nerazzurri failed to lure England midfielder Lampard from Chelsea.
With Inter preparing to launch their new season at Sampdoria this weekend, Mourinho said: “I wanted Lampard, it’s not a mystery. But I could not be happier with Muntari, who has made me absolutely forget Lampard.”
