Lifeboat sent to help fishing vessel off west coast

The Ballyglass lifeboat in Co Mayo has been launched to assist a fishing vessel in difficulties off the west coast.

The Ballyglass lifeboat in Co Mayo has been launched to assist a fishing vessel in difficulties off the west coast.

The Girl Deborah, with three crewmen on board, went onto rocks off the Erris coastline near Ballyglass Lighthouse.

Conditions in the area have been described as good and the lifeboat is optimistic of bringing the vessel and crew safely back to shore.
