TDs and senators claim €10m in expenses
New figures show that some TDs have almost doubled their basic salary with a package of expenses and allowances.
Today's Sunday Independent has claimed that the pay packets of a number of high earning TDs actually match or surpass those of ministers.
Figures obtained under the Freedom of Information Act have revealed that TDs and Senators claimed over €10m in expenses between December 2006 and December 2007.
