A US envoy meeting political leaders in the North has said that the province is in better shape now than before because political institutions are in place.
After speaking with David Trimble and other Northern politicians, US congressman Jim Walsh maintained that the North's institutions were "in good shape".
However, Mr. Walsh indicated that the politicians now needed to sell the benefits of the power sharing executive to their communities and constituencies.
He declared that the US now believes politicians in the North are not selling the new institutions to the public like they should be.
