Cousins picks squad for youth tournament

A squad has been picked by eircom League U-21 Manager Tony Cousins for a special four team tournament in Wales.

A squad has been picked by eircom League U-21 Manager Tony Cousins for a special four team tournament in Wales.

Cousins will be assisted by first cousin Tommy Dunne along with Stuart Ashton from Cork City.

Cousins said: “This is a great opportunity for our younger players in the eircom League. The success of our U-21 League last year will give our players the chance to play against the best.”

"I have been disappointed with some players withdrawing from the squad but it will allow other players prove themselves," added Cousins..

The schedule of games is as follows:

Ireland v England Tuesday 20th @ 7:30pm Merthyr Tydill

Ireland v Scotland Thursday 22nd @ 7.30pm Haverford West

Ireland v Wales Saturday 24th @ 3.30pm Haverford West
