Berrabah thrilled to be single

Amelle Berrabah "feels like herself" again after splitting from her boyfriend

Amelle Berrabah "feels like herself" again after splitting from her boyfriend.

The Sugababes singer ended her six-year relationship with Freddie Fuller earlier this year after a string of violent arguments and is absolutely thrilled to be single.

The 25-year-old beauty said: "I'm really happy. I don't know how to say this without sounding horrible, as he’s a lovely person, but I did feel like myself again for the first time in ages. I went out with my friends, having a laugh. I think it was the best thing for both of us."

Although it’s been around eight months since her romance with Freddie ended, Amelle insists she is not looking for love, despite being photographed on a romantic dinner date with model Jake Davies.

She explained: "We went out on one date. We've been out as friends for ages, but I think people just assume stuff because he was standing next to me. We still speak to each other but I'm just concentrating on work to be honest."

Amelle was "living in fear" in the weeks immediately following her separation from Freddie, after her sister was allegedly attacked by his relatives.

The singer also reportedly received death threats from his relations.

In December 2007, Freddie almost lost an arm in a horrific machete attack outside a pub on Christmas Eve which Amelle witnessed.
