Gardaí in Dundalk have confirmed a fire which killed two young sisters and their father was started accidentally.

Gardaí in Dundalk have confirmed a fire which killed two young sisters and their father was started accidentally.

Eddie Walls, aged 39, and his children Teresa, aged three and Natasha, aged 18 months, were all killed when a blaze broke out in their home in the Castle Road estate on Sunday morning.

It is believed the fire was caused by an electrical fault or cigarette. The funerals of the three will take place in Dundalk tomorrow.
