College in Dublin with 200 students ceases trading

A private college in Dublin has confirmed on its website that it has ceased trading.

Last week Leinster College - which caters for international students - posted a notice on its door stating that it was closing temporarily because of a difficult financial situation.

The college has now confirmed on its website in a short statement that it has ceased trading with immediate effect.

The statement also apologises for the inconvenience caused to clients and staff members.

The college had around 200 students and employs around 20 people.

It is the latest in a series of English language schools to close over the past few months.
