Revenue extends Property Tax filing deadline

The Revenue Commissioners have extended the deadline to file a return for the Local Property tax.

They say it is due to an exceptional level of filing over the last two days.

As of 5pm this evening, returns for more than 870,000 properties have been filed.

Those paying by direct debit, or at source from wages or pensions do not have to contact Revenue.

Property owners now have until 5pm on Friday evening to file their 2014 LPT return.
