Sligo Rovers 2 Cork City 2
Substitute Paul Deasy scored a last-minute equaliser to earn Cork a point at the Showgrounds to keep them top of Setanta Sports Cup Group 1.
Injury-hit Cork, who won their opening game at home to Cliftonville, started well and took the lead on 16 minutes.
Billy Dennehy did well down the left flank to get in a low cross which was turned home by Latvian striker Guntars Silagalis.
Sligo, also missing many first-teamers, hit back a minute before the break after striker Rob Turner set-up midfielder Richie Ryan to shoot past Mark McNulty.
The home side then took the lead on 59 minutes when Dean Marshall outpaced Stephen Mulcahy onto a long clearance to score.
A double substitution by boss Paul Doolin worked the oracle for Cork, however, as Gareth Cambridge crossed from the left for Deasy to shoot home right on 90 minutes.
