Fine Gael is accusing the Government of failing to take action to reduce the threat of jobs being outsourced to cheaper locations.

Fine Gael is accusing the Government of failing to take action to reduce the threat of jobs being outsourced to cheaper locations.

The accusation follows fears for the future of 900 jobs at the Xerox plant in the Blanchardstown area of Dublin.

The jobs are being outsourced to computer giant IBM, which is expected to move the operation to Europe.

Fine Gael says the Government needs to do something to tackle such job losses by taking action to improve national competitiveness.
