Praveen Halappanavar to receive draft report into Savita's death tomorrow

The Health Minister has confirmed that the husband of Savita Halappanavar, Praveen, will receive a draft report of the inquiry into her death tomorrow.

The HSE inquiry set up in the wake of her death at Galway University Hospital last October was tasked with identifying any shortcomings in her care.

Praveen Halappanavar maintains Savita was repeatedly refused a termination of her pregnancy before she died from septicaemia.

James Reilly said he had not yet seen the final draft of the report, and added that Praveen would be invited to contribute to it, and to make adjustments.
