Roscommon will take on New York in Sunday's Connacht SFC preliminary-round clash without the services of full-forward Karol Mannion and wing back Sean Purcell.
Mannion is facing a five to six-week lay-off after breaking a finger. The injury comes at a bad time for the St Brigid's clubman as he recently came into form in the National League, scoring 4-9 in seven games.
Boyle defender Purcell dislocated his shoulder in a recent challenge-match win over Offaly. The Rossies beat Offaly by 0-10 to 0-9 at St Aidan's on last Sunday week.
Both players will travel to New York with the panel as Roscommon manager John Maughan has a week-long camp in the Catskill Mountains in the offing. Maughan also used the upstate New York area as a training base for his Mayo team in recent seasons.
