Water shortages predicted
Water shortages remain a problem in many parts of the country today.
Thousands of households will have to do without as local authorities struggle to fix pipes that are leaking or burst since the big freeze.
Parts of South Dublin have been badly hit and Fingal County Council is advising that water pressure will be reduced at night in the coming days to allow reservoirs to fill.
Affected residents in Navan should see supplies return later today, however.
