ISEQ continues downward trend

The ISEQ index of Irish shares has fallen by 3.12% this morning, down 203.74 points to 6330.02.

Building materials group CRH list €1.02 from its share price and is trading at €22.76. Grafton saw a 15c fall to €4.75 while Kingspan lost more than 50c, falling to €9.79. Builder McInerney continued the downward trend in the sector, losing 3.5c to €1.53.

In the airline sector, Ryanair fell more than 17c and is currently trading at €3.62. Aer Lingus fell by 3.6c to €2.30.

Banking stocks are also having a torrid day - AIB was among the morning's biggest losers, down 52c to €14.38. Bank of Ireland saw a fall of almost 30c to €9.06, while Anglo Irish Bank fell by more than 38c to €8.77.
