A security alert in Armagh this morning has been declared over following the removal of a viable pipe bome.
Police were called to the Alexander Avenue area of the town this morning following reports of a suspicious object, later identified as a viable pipe bomb-type device.
A technical examination has been carried out and the device has been taken away for further examination.
Meanwhile, a second device was also found close to homes in Norfolk Parade in west Belfast.
The latest alert in Armagh follows the discovery yesterday of a dissident republican explosive device has been near a special needs school in the county.
The bomb in Lurgan was designed to kill or maim anybody nearby, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) added.
Ceara School in Lurgan was evacuated during the alert.
Principal Dr Peter Cunningham said the disruption had been "immense".
"We were able to prevent the children coming to school because we have a texting service, so we were able to do that very quickly when the PSNI told us to close the school," he told the BBC.
"But by that time our children had their uniforms on waiting in their houses all over the Lurgan, Craigavon and Portadown area.
"Our children just don't understand - when they get their uniforms on, it's time to go to school.
"When the bus doesn't come our children, especially those who work under a very strict routine become very anxious, so we have lots of anxious children and equally anxious families."
