Polyglot parrot chats in three languages
A parrot can speak three languages.
The blue-fronted Amazon called Rocket is able to chat to people in Arabic, Urdu and English, and he loves speaking to passersby in his variety of languages.
Rocket's 18-year-old owner Ehsaan Mahmood is quoted by the Metro newspaper as saying: "My dad Tariq used to keep parrots in Pakistan and when he moved to England he wanted to get some here as well.
“We had a few smaller green parrots six or seven years ago but we’ve had Rocket for two years now. When we got him he could only say ‘Hello’ but now he’s got quite a vocabulary together.”
Ehsaan admits Rocket can attract a large audience of people when he is in a chatty mood and his cage is placed in his front yard.
