There were slight gains in a day of few big moves on the Irish Stock Exchange today.

The ISEQ index was marginally up 9.21 points to 2,346.33.

Allied Irish Bank was down slightly, slipping 9c to €1.65. Irish Life & Permanent (down 4c to €1.56) and Bank of Ireland (down 3c to 87c) also lost some ground. Anglo Irish Bank gained 2c to 17c however.

There were some impressive gains on the Exchange, with Paddy Power leading the way, jumping 33c to €12.83. CRH climbed 24c to €18.19.

FBD (up 19c to €7.49) and Kerry Group (up 14c to €13.53) were the day’s other big winners.

Icon lost 10c to €12 in the only decline of note.
