Survey finds overwhelming support for smoking ban

The vast majority of Irish people support the workplace smoking ban, according to a survey commissioned by the Department of Health.

The vast majority of Irish people support the workplace smoking ban, according to a survey commissioned by the Department of Health.

82% of the 1,000 people questioned as part of the survey said they supported the ban, while 95% said they believed it was a positive health measure.

The ban was introduced on March 29.
