This story of an unexpected act of kindness in a Dublin Spar is going viral

One man's story of an unpleasant encounter in a Dublin Spar - and an unexpected act of kindness - has gone viral on Facebook after being shared by Panti Bliss.

The man - identified only as Colm - was in a Baggot Street branch of Spar when another customer used a homophobic slur against him.

That might have been the end of it if it hadn't been for the guy working behind the counter who wasn't going to let him get away with it.

Panti explains that the screengrab - which now has over 20,000 likes and almost 300 shares - was originally shared by a friend who lives in England.

Well done, Spar Guy!
