Paltrow speaks of plans for more children

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has spoken about her plans to have more children.

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has spoken about her plans to have more children.

The star – widely rumoured to be expecting her second baby – says she is looking forward to having a brother or sister for 17-month-old daughter Apple.

“Yes, definitely, I would love to have a whole bunch of children,” she tells this month’s Glamour magazine.

“I don’t mind girls or boys. My mother gets upset because I say I want all girls because Apple is so fabulous.”

Paltrow and her husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, have maintained a silence about the baby rumours, but an official announcement is expected any day now.

Elsewhere in the interview, the Oscar-winning actress praised the British public for their response to the London bombings – comparing them favourably to their US counterparts.

She said: “I find the English amazing how they got over 7/7. There were no multiple memorials with people sobbing as they would have been in America. There, they are constantly scaring people but, at the same time, people think nothing of going to see a therapist.”

Paltrow also revealed her macrobiotic diet is now a thing of the past.

“I eat wheat and I have cheese. I used to eat miso soup every day for breakfast and oatmeal. It was very regimented but now I eat whatever I want,” she said.

“I drink a glass of wine with dinner, occasionally beer and also Guinness. I can’t drink vodka. It wrecks me.”
