Search for missing swimmer resumes near Clifden

The search for the body of a 28-year-old English man, who went missing while swimming off the coast of Connemara, resumed again this morning.

The search for the body of a 28-year-old English man, who went missing while swimming off the coast of Connemara, resumed again this morning.

The body of his 27-year-female companion was recovered from the sea off Innisturk island yesterday.

The were holidaying in the area, and got into difficulty while swimming at a beach near Clifden yesterday morning.

The Clifden lifeboat, the Achill lifeboat and the Sligo coastguard helicopter are involved in the rescue operation.
