Customs officers have seized 90,000 contraband cigarettes at Cork Airport.

Customs officers have seized 90,000 contraband cigarettes at Cork Airport.

The cigarettes were found in the bags of four men who arrived on a flight from Lanzarote yesterday.

One of the men was arrested and charged with evading the payment of excise duty.

He has been remanded in custody for six days by Cork District Court.
