Leicester 19 Toulouse 27
Leicester were left to rue their sloppy finishing as they crashed out of the Heineken Cup with a hugely disappointing semi-final defeat by Toulouse at the Walkers Stadium.
The Tigers controlled long spells of the first half but could not claim the try their superiority warranted with sloppy handling seeing Ollie Smith and Darren Morris squander glorious opportunities.
The boot of Andy Goode supplied 14 of their points while Tom Varndell touched down late on, but when Toulouse finally stepped up a gear in the second half, Leicester were comprehensively outclassed.
Scrum-half Jean-Baptiste Ellisalde finished with a 17-point haul – a total which inlcuded a try – while Finau Maka and Frederic Michalak also crossed as Toulouse booked a final appointment with Stade Francais on May 22.
