Date to be set for bomb inquests

Dublin City Coroners Court is expected to set a date today for the resumption of the inquests into the deaths of 33 people in the Dublin and Monaghan bombings.

Dublin City Coroners Court is expected to set a date today for the resumption of the inquests into the deaths of 33 people in the Dublin and Monaghan bombings.

The original inquests into the deaths were closed 10 days after the bombings on May 17, 1974.

The original inquest only heard identification and medical evidence, and no proper verdict was returned.
