In the North, the DUP leader Ian Paisley has claimed that his party will eclipse the UUP to become the biggest unionist political party after the next elections for Stormont.

In the North, the DUP leader Ian Paisley has claimed that his party will eclipse the UUP to become the biggest unionist political party after the next elections for Stormont.

He criticised David Trimble and spoke about the DUP's future to the 600 people at the conference.

Mr Paisley insisted the first change his party would make when they become the largest unionist group would be renegotiate the Good Friday Agreement.

The DUP leader however was adamant that any of his party members that sat down with republicans for discussions would be expelled.
