West Dublin shooting: Body still at scene as gardaí start inquiries

A man in his 30s has been shot dead in West Dublin.

A man in his 30s has been shot dead in West Dublin.

The victim was killed as he sat in his van in Cherry Orchard in Ballyfermot shortly before 7am today.

The body remains at the scene and the area has been sealed off as gardaí start their inquiries.

The office of the state pathologist has been contacted.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact them at Ballyfermot garda station.
