Farmer shot in Co Down raid

A man in the North has been shot after raiders attempted to rob his farm.

A man in the North has been shot after raiders attempted to rob his farm.

The man in his fifties was injured on his property when two armed men confronted him on the Tullymacree Road outside Downpatrick.

After some fighting the man was thrown to the ground and shot in the foot after the raiders demanded money.

Police are now looking for information after the robbers escaped in a red hatchback.
