The Scottish Football Association tonight pressed Dunfermline chairman John Yorkston to explain his comments about Celtic defender Bobo Balde.
Yorkston, who will receive a letter from the SFA, accused the 29-year-old defender of injuring more players than the controversial East End Park plastic pitch.
The chairman issued an apology after yesterday’s match between the teams, and claimed his comments were made “tongue in cheek”.
But that has not stopped the SFA’s general purposes committee from demanding answers from him.
An SFA spokesperson told the Press Association: “There are a number of issues here so we have written to Mr Yorkston today and we will await his comments prior to the meeting on February 17 and we will take it from there.”
