Mayo star centre-forward Kieran McDonald has pledged that he will return to the side next year and try to go one better.

Mayo star centre-forward Kieran McDonald has pledged that he will return to the side next year and try to go one better.

McDonald made the pledge at the team’s official homecoming at McHale Park, Castlebar, where more than 2,000 fans turned out to welcome the All-Ireland finalists home.

"Every one of the team will come back next year and we promise that we’ll try and try to win Sam Maguire," McDonald told the crowd.
