Rod Stewart to play Kilkenny next year

Rod Stewart has announced his return to Ireland today, and this time he’s taking his tour to Kilkenny.

The music legend is set to play Nowlan Park on Saturday June 25 as part of his Hits 2016 tour.

Speaking about the tour, Rod admitted that it "brings out the best" in him.

"Performing under the stars for my friends and fans next June will be a fun party because lets face it, they bring out the best in me," he said.

"Together, we'll make sure there will be some special memories."

Tickets go on sale next Thursday October 15, just before the 70-year-old’s latest album ‘Another Country’ hits the shelves at the end of this month

That leaves plenty of time for ‘Maggie May’ to get her ‘Handbags and Gladrags’ together.
