Gardaí have named the two people killed in separate road accidents yesterday.

A 44-year-old woman who was killed in a collision at Louisburgh, Co Mayo yesterday afternoon has been named as Ann McNamara, of Collacoon, Louisburgh.

The accident happened, when the car she was driving left the road close to the Nomadic Display factory.

21-year old William Sheahan from Bouliglass, Askeaton, Co Limerick died when the car he was driving hit a pole just before 9pm last night at Kilcornan.
