Companies look to fill 400 positions at Wexford employment fair

The Wexford Employment and Advice Fair gets underway this afternoon at 3pm at Wexford Opera House.

The Wexford Employment and Advice Fair gets underway this afternoon at 3pm at Wexford Opera House.

Companies will be recruiting for around 400 new positions around the country, but with a particular emphasis on the Wexford area.

The free event, which will continue from noon to 5pm tomorrow, has been organised by Wexford Chamber of Industry and Commerce in association with the International Employment Services Unit of the Department of Social Protection.

Social Protection Minister Joan Burton will open the event, which will be attended by companies like Zurich Insurance, Datapack Limited and Aldi.

There will also be representatives from abroad to advise people who are interested in employment opportunities overseas.
