Fats Domino safe but missing
It is believed missing blues legend Fats Domino survived Hurricane Katrina, after his daughter Karen Domino recognised him in a photograph of rescued survivors.
The image showed Domino, 77, dressed in jeans and a blue striped shirt being brought to safety by boat - but his whereabouts remain unknown.
Karen Domino says: "We're very relieved. I didn't have any information. I was just praying."
The star's long-time agent Al Embry raised the alarm after he failed to contact the musician following a phone call on Sunday.
Aerial images showing Domino's New Orleans, Louisiana, family home completely submerged with water led family and fans to fear the worst.
The star and his wife Rosemary had refused to heed storm warnings and insisted he was "going to try to ride out" the storm at home.
