A petition has been set up in Italy to stop a waitress from serving because she is making wives jealous.

Loredana Popesciue - who seductively dances when she serves at an establishment in the town of Cadelbosco Sopra - has reportedly been serving customers in "sexy underwear", which has led their envious wives to try to force her out of a job.

The Romanian immigrant - who narrowly escaped punishment from the tax man - said: "Now I have a petition to deal with. These women are just jealous. I have Brazilian roots and I love to dance. What's wrong with that?

"I have nothing against these women. But if their husbands wanted to spend time with them, they'd be at home and not in my bar."
