One of Kate Moss' favourite portraits has sold for £16,250 (€18,977) at auction.
The black and white nude picture of the supermodel, taken by photographer Albert Watson at the end of a day's shoot in 1993, sold at Bonhams in London to an anonymous private UK buyer and is one of a limited edition of 10.
Photography specialist Jocelyn Phillips of Bonhams said of the picture: "Kate Moss is a contemporary icon and the photographer is a well-established name. Combine that with the size and limited edition nature of this lot and it all combines to make it interesting to collectors."
The company has previously said of the image: "Watson created probably two of the most iconic images of Moss on a shoot for German Vogue, and today they remain among his most popular pictures.
"At the end of a day shooting on a roof-top in Marrakech, Watson suggested he create nude photographs of Moss and she happily obliged."
Watson also described the picture, part of a series, as "among the best pictures ever taken of her".
Two other photographs of Moss - auctioned in two separate lots at the same sale - were each bought for £2,750 (€3,211).
One shows her with her eyes shut and was taken by the late Corinne Day for The Face magazine in 1991, while the other, by Mario Testino in 2005, shows her sitting in a cafe wearing a tie.
