Dual Oaks heroine Ouija Board will be allowed to take her chance at the Breeders’ Cup meeting in Texas later this month.
Connections of the Ed Dunlop-trained filly had been mulling over a trip to Lone Star Park on October 30 after Ouija Board finished third in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
However, owner Lord Derby has opted to send his star filly to America although it has not yet been decided whether she will tackle the 10-furlong Filly & Mare or the Turf over a mile and a half, where she would come up against the colts.
“She definitely runs in America. She’s in good form and we are very pleased with her,” confirmed Peter Stanley, Lord Derby’s racing manager.
“We won’t make a final decision on which race she will go for until nearer the time as we want to keep our options open for both races.”
