Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus has finally been knocked off the top of the UK charts – by a track which samples a classic hit by Irish rockers U2.

Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus has finally been knocked off the top of the UK charts – by a track which samples a classic hit by Irish rockers U2.

The 23-year-old Glaswegian made history when her single All This Time went in at number one, making her the first Scottish female to make her debut at the top of the charts.

But after three weeks riding high, she has slipped to number three and been replaced on the top spot by new entry LMC vs U2 with Take Me To The Clouds Above.
