Longford Town urgently need a win before they lose touch with the rest of the teams near the bottom of the table, including tonight's opponents, Galway United. Kick-off is at Flancare Park at 7.45pm.
Town have only one point on the board and even if they hadn't been deducted the six points, they would still be propping up the table. Galway are second from bottom on eight points.
Galway boss Tony Cousins has a strong squad to chose from for the trip to Flancare, but may have to plan without Colm James
Town will be without Robbie Martin, Dessie Baker, Shay Kelly, Kevin Doherty and John Martin who are all out injured.
