Turkey coach Senol Gunes says his side deserve their place in the last four of the World Cup, following their golden goal victory over Senegal.
Substitute Ilhan Mansiz scored the game's only goal in the fourth minute of extra time to put Turkey in the last four for the first time.
They will now face Brazil on Wednesday looking to gain revenge for their 2-1 defeat in their opening group game.
Gunes said: "We have showed in other matches that we deserve to be in the semi-final.
"We have an even chance of beating Brazil, but the quality of our play is increasing with every game. That is a big advantage for us."
Turkey should have settled matters in normal time, with captain Hakan Sukur the biggest culprit for them failing to break the deadlock earlier.
"Today we controlled the game very well and we did what we wanted to do, but we missed a lot of chances," added Gunes.
"Hakan Sukur, I must say, is one of the best ever Turkish players and we know he was unlucky not to score."
Gunes praised their beaten opponents despite yesterday raising questions about their style of play.
"I want to congratulate Senegal because they got here from a very difficult group. It was a fair match and we did not see the elbows from them that we have seen in other games.''
