John Gorman has left Gillingham after one game in charge as caretaker manager.

The former Swindon boss took temporary charge at the Priestfield Stadium after Andy Hessenthaler stood down as player-manager last week.

The Gills came from behind on Saturday to win in Gorman’s only game, late goals from Darius Henderson and Tommy Johnson giving them a 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest.

Gorman was assistant to former England manager Glenn Hoddle and has been linked to the managerial vacancy at Wycombe. He was caretaker boss at Adams Park for eight games last season before Tony Adams was appointed.
