The number of houses repossessions in Ireland has doubled over the past five years.
According to this morning's Sunday Business Post, 50 houses were repossessed by banks and lenders last year, compared to 25 in 2001.
The increase is being blamed on the difficulties some home owners face in meeting their mortgage repayments because of higher interest rates.
