Jude Law is getting back into the business of film production following the disintegration of Natural Nylon, the company he formed with his ex-wife Sadie Frost, Ewan McGregor, Sean Pertwee and Johnny Lee Miller.
Law, who will soon be seen in director Anthont Minghella's Cold Mountain, has formed a new company, Rorschach Films, which has just produced The World of Tomorrow, which stars Law, Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie.
Filmed mainly in front of a blue screen, the project makes extensive use of computer-generated images.
“In a funny way we were inventing a new way of making films, a new way of shooting them and a new way of creating them in post-production,” Law tells Variety.
He compared the difference between producing and acting to “the difference between being a lion tamer and being a clown. It’s like you’re all part of the circus but you’re fulfilling very different roles.”
Law’s next project will be producing a remake of the 1972 lighthearted mystery Sleuth, in which he will star with Michael Caine.
